Jakarta, June 17, 2025 – The Asia Disaster Management & Civil Protection Expo & Conference (ADEXCO) returns for its fourth edition as a premier international exhibition and conference, focusing on disaster management, risk mitigation, and civil protection across various sectors. Carrying the theme “Toward Resilient Nations: Integrated Disaster Risk Reduction for Southeast Asia”, ADEXCO 2025 will take place from September 10–13, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
As a key national strategic initiative, ADEXCO 2025 brings together major institutions, including the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Regional Disaster Management Agencies (BPBD), the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and the Ministry of Industry. The initiative is further strengthened by operational and technical support from the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), National Police (Polri), National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS), and Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), aiming to create a fully collaborative, adaptive, and responsive civil protection ecosystem.
Dr. Raditya Jati, Deputy for System and Strategy at BNPB, expressed full support for ADEXCO 2025 as a strategic platform for the People, Private, Public, Partnership (PPPP) approach in accelerating the disaster management industry in Indonesia.
“We fully support the implementation of ADEXCO, as it effectively connects key stakeholders in disaster risk management. This forum serves as a strategic platform to explore the latest scientific advancements, technological innovations, and global solutions in disaster management. It plays a crucial role in driving the disaster management industrialization agenda and strengthening Indonesia’s capacity as a regional center of excellence in anticipation of future climate and disaster-related crises,” he said.
ADEXCO 2025 is designed to bring together stakeholders from government, technology providers, humanitarian organizations, the military, the private sector, and public institutions in a collaborative ecosystem that showcases strategic thinking, technical expertise, and innovative disaster management solutions. Reinforcing its position within the strategic industry ecosystem, ADEXCO will be co-located with major exhibitions under the Indonesia Energy & Engineering Series (IEE Series), including Construction Indonesia, Concrete Show SEA, and Water Indonesia.
Lia Indriasari, Country Manager of Pamerindo Indonesia, emphasized that ADEXCO’s collaboration with the IEE Series underscores the essential cross-sector approach required to address current and future challenges.

This thematic synergy introduces an interdisciplinary approach to managing complex disaster risks, particularly those that intersect the construction, energy, and water sectors.
ADEXCO seeks to enhance risk management, emergency coordination, and the development of integrated, innovative solutions. The event also encourages inter-industry learning, policy advocacy, regulatory strengthening, and regional resilience in the face of crisis.
ADEXCO 2025’s key objectives include fostering cross-border and cross-sector synergy to bolster regional disaster preparedness. It also serves as a platform for industries and institutions to showcase the latest technologies and disaster management strategies, while providing public education and practical emergency preparedness training. This highlights ADEXCO’s role as an inclusive and sustainable hub for multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Based on this multi-stakeholder collaboration, ADEXCO 2025 will not only serve as a meeting point for technology and stakeholders but also as a strategic forum to promote best practices in strengthening national and regional resilience, whereby ADEXCO 2025 carries several key focus areas that serve as pillars in the implementation of its programs and exhibitions.
These focus areas include strengthening disaster management systems based on technology and community; rapid response to natural and industrial disasters (multihazard response); development of early warning system technologies; disaster-resilient infrastructure; integrated post-disaster management and recovery; and climate change adaptation through nature-based solutions.
ADEXCO’s Operations Director, Andrian Cader, stated that ADEXCO 2025 represents a strategic step to strengthen disaster resilience and civil protection in the face of growing risks posed by the climate crisis and urbanization. Through innovation, cross-sector collaboration, and structured preparedness, ADEXCO serves as a platform that drives Asia, particularly Indonesia, toward a safer and more resilient future. He emphasized the critical role of civil protection agencies in building integrated and adaptive response systems to address the complexity of disaster threats.
As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, Indonesia bears a significant responsibility for building sustainable resilience, given its vulnerability to various disaster risks, including seismic activity, flooding, and the impacts of climate change. ADEXCO 2025 is expected to serve as a catalyst for stakeholder synergy in addressing increasingly complex humanitarian and environmental challenges. This aligns with the UNDRR report, which identifies Asia as the most disaster-prone region in the world, particularly in terms of flooding.
In response to these challenges, adaptive and technology-based approaches have become essential. In Indonesia, the utilization of technologies such as drones, AI, big data, and early warning systems has accelerated emergency response and improved mitigation accuracy. This commitment is reinforced by national policies such as the Disaster Management Grand Design (RIPB) 2020–2044, which emphasizes cross-agency synergy and integrated information systems. “ADEXCO plays a strategic role in shaping a comprehensive resilience framework encompassing technology, communities, and civil protection institutions, intending to position Indonesia as a model of sustainable resilience in the region,” concluded Andrian.
Indonesia is classified as one of the most disaster-prone countries, vulnerable to natural disasters, non- natural disasters, and those caused by human activities. Geographically, Indonesia is in a subduction zone at the intersection of three major tectonic plates—the Eurasian Plate to the north, the Pacific Plate to the east, and the Indo-Australian Plate to the south—making the country highly susceptible to natural disasters.
In the face of Indonesia’s complex geographical conditions and increasing disaster challenges, an adaptive and technology-based approach is essential. In this context, the adoption of technology plays a crucial role. In Indonesia, technology has become a key catalyst in accelerating emergency response and enhancing the accuracy of disaster mitigation. The use of drones, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and remote sensing is becoming increasingly widespread, particularly for risk mapping and emergency response purposes. At the same time, community-based Early Warning Systems (EWS) are beginning to integrate with national digital networks and official technology-based warning systems.
The cross-sectoral need for resilient infrastructure also drives this effort. The construction, transportation, energy, and logistics sectors are now required to meet disaster-resilient design standards to minimize systemic risks during times of crisis.
Strong national policy commitments further reinforce this drive for innovation. The transformation aligns with the strategic direction outlined in Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2020, which is part of the Disaster Management Grand Design (RIPB) 2020–2044. This regulation emphasizes the importance of cross-agency synergy, the utilization of technology, and the integration of information systems in building inclusive and sustainable national resilience, particularly through the implementation of disaster resilience assessments in all public infrastructure development projects.
“In this context, ADEXCO plays a strategic role in promoting the development of a comprehensive resilience framework that encompasses technological advancement, community engagement, and the strengthening of civil protection institutions. Through this integrated approach, Indonesia is expected to become a model for sustainable disaster resilience in the region,” said Andrian.
This necessitates a comprehensive, cross-sectoral approach. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is key to strengthening national resilience in a sustainable manner. ADEXCO 2025 is poised to build on the positive momentum from its previous edition, with a significantly larger scale and broader participation from various strategic sectors. This year, the exhibition area has been substantially expanded compared to last year, creating greater opportunities for cross-industry exhibitors to contribute to the development of a robust, integrated, and collaborative disaster management ecosystem.
More than 100 companies and institutions from over 20 countries are expected to participate, including international aid organizations, disaster technology providers, and manufacturers of heavy rescue equipment.
Delegations from ASEAN, Japan, Korea, Germany, and Australia are also scheduled to attend the international conference and trade missions. Domestically, several leading companies, including Alam Virtual Semesta, Kemenangan, and Decaaindo Surya Perkasa, will also be participating.
Referring to the success of ADEXCO 2024, a total of 6,803 professional visitors were recorded, with participation from 126 exhibiting companies and involvement from 15 countries and regions.
Last year’s event occupied an area of 4,726 square meters, serving as a platform for cross-sector collaboration among government agencies, construction, logistics, energy, and utilities industries, as well as humanitarian organizations, academia, and technology and research players.
During that period, most attendees came from provinces with high disaster vulnerability, such as DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Kalimantan, Lampung, South Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi. Their primary interests were focused on various disaster-related solutions, including emergency communication systems, disaster mapping, early warning systems, and disaster-resilient construction materials.
Furthermore, to enhance knowledge dissemination and networking, ADEXCO 2025 will feature a series of flagship activities. These include an International Conference bringing together policymakers and practitioners from both domestic and international arenas, field simulations, rescue equipment demonstrations, and an investment forum exploring public-private partnership (PPP) opportunities. Educational programs for students and a disaster response technology innovation competition will also complement the event series.
With an ever-strengthening spirit of collaboration, ADEXCO 2025 is expected to catalyze advancing regional preparedness in the face of increasingly complex disaster challenges.
